Austin, TX Paint Shops
Anyone in the Austin area know of any good shops to get some custom paint work done?
I am contemplating getting some Grand Sport stripes painted on the driver side fender, not sure on the color yet, either white or SIM. Like this but only on the driver side.. |

I'm interested too. I want the scoop painted. I have seen people flamed on this forum for pin-striping ideas, but some boldly posted photos and it looked even better than I thought it would.

Custom Car Crafters used to have a hot rod shop and did all kinds of stuff. They did Lance Armstrongs car years ago for Overhaulin. I'm not impressed with their web site but they have done some good work.

They did a good job on my Mustang. I may have them stripe the Camaro.

I second Customer Car Crafters. They did amazing work on our 67 XKE.

I had Al's Body Works (on Beck Circle in Austin) paint my Integra years ago, and the GFX on my Camaro. I heartily recommend Al. Small shop, but he's been in business for decades and does great work.

I passed by this place when I was test driving the car I did not get......spied a full custom '57 Cadillac. It was one of the most amazing things I've ever seen on wheels. I did a web search later and found an article on that exact car.
Seeing it in person was awe-inspiring. There is no badging of any kind on the vehicle. I emailed photos to my Dad to find out what it even was. I thought it was a pure one-of-a-kind custom. Check it out. http://streetrodder.automotive.com/9...lle/index.html Please post quotes for any work you inquire about. There is a shop called Cool Cars near my house on Hudson Bend. It's apparently the toyshop if it's founding patron. They quoted me at least $3500 - 4500 for painted stripes. I think that's a *little* high...... |

I got my Ram Air hood painted on my Charger at mustang paint for $500 (7th St). Thay did a good job and there cheap. I asked them how much to paint the strips on my Camaro from the bottom front all the way to the back, they said $700.
