Reviving this thread, does anybody have any experience/thoughts on Carbeau RRB?

What I like about it is it seems to have the great lateral support of a bucket seat, but yet it reclines. Even though I’ll probably be switching the seat out for track days, because my understanding is airbags will never work with an aftermarket race seats, I would still like it to be as comfortable as possible so I am not thinking about anything except my driving on the track. I’d get it with sliders as well.

I’m not sure if there are any common themes between carbeau seats like padding, lumbar support, durability etc… but if there is, I’ll be happy to hear about it from someone… the reviews I’ve read say it’s comfortable, but obviously that’s very subjective and contextual.

(Also I’ll be getting a 4pt roll cage)

I can't speak to the Corbeau RRB but I purchased a FX1 Pro along with the Camaro Base they offer and Planted side mounts. I hated everything about the Corbeau.

The seat kind of sucks, the base was also bad, and the seat couldn't be mounted low enough(especially with the sliders). The whole Corbeau setup just felt off. I have since moved to a Sparco with the Brey Krause bases and I'm really happy. The corbeau is just going to go to my passenger seat.

I understand most of my complaints dont' really apply to your situation. If you do decide to go with the Corbeau I still recommend that you get the Brey Krause base (if they are needed). I can show you pictures of both bases if you would like. The corbeau one didn't even feel safe to me at the track.

Didn’t even think the base and sliders could be a problem, good to know!

That seat does seem to be a fair bit cheaper than the RRB, so hopefully that might explain any quality issues
