2016 Camaro 2SS bolt on performance MODS
So I'm sure this has been discussed but its hard to find it all in one place. I'm looking for bolt ons that work well and compliment each other. I not the most knowledgeable about cars but here is what I got and feel free to point me in the right direction or let me know if I'm on the right track. Also if I forget stuff please add it in. I'm looking at tax time to mod my 2016 Camaro 2SS. This is the list I have so far what I want to do.
Long tube headers Ported throttle body Ported intake manifold AWE exhaust Cold air intake Upgraded Cam |

Simple bolt-ons:
Rotofab intake. Flex Fuel kit. LT-2 intake manifold (ported or not). Long tube headers. Ported throttle body. Advanced Bolt-Ons: Cam Supercharger |

E85 will be one of the best mods you can do if you have that fuel in your area. The rest of the mods you have listed along with the Roto-Fab CAI

i second the ethanol suggestion. id save the money spent on the ported stock intake manifold, ported tb and cai.
unless you're in it for looks, cut the bottom off of your stock air box and leave the tb alone. spend the money on a flex fuel sensor, exhaust and ethanol (tune).

Thank you all for the suggestions so far. I would do the E85 but I don't know of any place out her that sells it. I think I would be stuck ordering it. I definitely was planning on getting all the proper tunes once I get everything and put them on the car. I have seen a lot of roto-fab CAI. Any suggestions what company and size long tube headers to go with as well with the intake manifold. I live in rural Montana so I get to do think most states can't like CAT deletes. Just finding a shop that can do the work is going to cause me a problem since I don't have all the proper tools to do it myself.

LT2 intake manifold is a solid upgrade over stock, they're cheap too. There's a bunch of installs on it on youtube

How much is the LT2 intake worth in terms of power? Id love to pickup 50-80hp without doing a cam or FI. Wondering if thats reasonably doable. I have e85 available locally.
e85, lt2 intake, tb, CAI would that get me there? |

I'm no expert but you would be close. Are you thinking about doing headers and exhaust?

As for gains from the bolt-ons, here is what you can expect (conservative estimates): LT2 Intake Manifold = 10 to 15 whp CSP Headers = 10 to 20 whp Rotofab Intake = 5 to 10 whp 93 Octane Tune = 10 to 20 whp Flex Fuel kit with E85 Tune = 25 to 30 whp over the 93 octane tune So 60 to 90ish wheel HP and a similar amount of wheel TQ. I have a Rotofab intake and Flex Fuel kit. I had my car dyno tuned for 93 octane and E85. 21 whp and 26 wtq on the 93 octane tune and 24 whp, 25 wtq over that on E85. If I went with an LT2 manifold and headers, I would expect 20 to 30 more hp. I asked my tuner about trans tuning but he said that the additional cost really was not worth it as it requires additional credits. My car is a 2017. I think the 2016 cars TCM's are not locked so it does not require more credits. (Not sure if that is correct.) |
