Well I am in the middle of ordering the parts myself. Cant afford it all at one time, so doing it in small batches. The one thing I am having difficulty is determing the auctual part number for the "dive plane" backside clips that hold it to the bumper. Somewhere someone posted a picture of them, along with the part number 11547341, but the pic in GM website isn't showing the same thing. Any help is appreciated.

Charlie Romeo, FireCaptain, the 3 of us need to get together, because we don't live to far apart from each other. I am still in the ordering phase and will be for a couple of months, but I would be glad to help, if you need it.

In all of those GM pics of clips.....it's almost a hand drawn "caricature" looking part.....what I do sometimes is take the p/n that shows on the GM page and search it on ebay like this "GM 11547341" and there will be an actual pic of it. I have found some made in china packs of 10 on some of the parts, we'll see if they work.....the pricing on just 1 GM OEM is ridiculous! I just got those clips yesterday.....I'll post a pic

A bit OT.....when I started this journey I had like 6 "discount GM parts sites" that I was price shopping on.....most were kinda close in their pricing.....it was the shipping where the rubber met the road.....when I went to check out....the shipping was $200!....needless to say I didn't use them.....went with the one that was $35....but I was like HOW does that other guy do ANY internet business with that kind of shipping price!

I almost pulled the trigger on all the parts needed last night...but then I remembered I just bought a full set of rims. Had to pump the brakes a little. lol. That damn OEM 1LE spoiler though. It hurts my soul every time I try to do some price checking for one. ugh! |

I was referring to the rear trunk spoiler to finish off the look. That sumbitch is expensive! I should have clarified that in my post. I thought the front end conversion pieces aren't priced too bad.

If you don’t mind me asking what is the rear spoiler worth?

Hmmm. Keep in mind I’m in Canada but when I ordered my car the 1LE extreme track performance package was $8495. So I bet that spoiler up here is roughly 6500. Definitely not cheap. I will say this. I had mine off the car when the car was getting PPF. Wow is it light. All the weight is in the three pedestals that hold the wing in place.
When I say light I mean it’s light even holding it up with your pinky finger. |
