Yep all of that stuff is adjusted on mine. Shift time, inertia, pressure...etc.

Can you share some suggestions on what to modify on the shift pressure tables? I have the shift times nailed down as of now and got the TCC slip removed as well.

Max pressure KPA needs bumped up along with the base line pressure for TCC on/off. There is a ton of stuff that needs done though so all the changes work together.

So has anyone actually got completely rid of the shudder via a TCM tune?
I haven't seen anyone say their tune fixed their shudder issue yet, even though some people are claiming it will fix it. |

I think you’re missing a key piece of info, and that is: if you’ve experienced the shudder, the torque converter is already slipping and it’s downhill from there. TCM tune will help prevent it from happening to begin with, but it can’t go back in time to fix what was already done...!

Based on the lack of answer though, I would venture to say very little to no one has successfully reprogrammed their TCM and got a fluid change to permanently get ride of the shudder, which is what I want to do. Guess I'll keep this up and bump occasionally to see if anyone gets this accomplished. |

Tim Sloper who was a tuner for EFI tuning was the first one to post the tuning fix. He fixed his shudder with tuning. Some have been successful others have had it return. My guess is it depends on how bad of shape the converter is before the tuning is applied.

King’s post is right on IMO. If the torque converter has been shuddering for a while, tuning won’t save it. But if you catch it early, you might be ok after tuning and fluid change. But I stand by my original statement: tuning cannot repair already damaged torque converter clutches.

My shudder is very intermittent. Most days I don't experience it at all and other days, especially hot days or days where I'm driving for an extended period of time, I get it repeatedly, usually in heavier traffic. I also use the range device to eliminate my V4 mode so that may be why it's so intermittent. As you can probably tell my shudder is very conditional and judging all this really makes me think my TC is not entirely cooked yet, and a reprogram of the TCM might very well save my transmission. I think I'm going to wait to see what GM's next step is in 1Q2019 and go from there. |

For those who are just replacing the TC, what are you using (brand/stall).

I'm sure most are using Circle D the stall depends on your cam/build

I purchased FTI 3600 triple disc converter on there black Friday sale. Just pulled tcm and sent it to hp tuners they just emailed me a return tracking and I just shipped it to them Monday. So cudos to hp tuners on the quick turn around. I will post the results,I've had the flush done twice and it good now but like others have said once the damage is done its done. Plus I wanted a stall anyways..lol

In lieu of the latest news, I've just installing my unlocked TCM from HPT on my 16k mile '18. Any tips on holding gears longer under part throttle KingLT1? Thanks for the other tips here!
