Ill have my dealer make sure to check it before I pick it up. I will check one on the lot before I accept my car I had them write it up when I took it in to get fixed.

Semi-off topic. But for people who were looking to buy a detector. This may or may not make you wait.

Uniden announced the R7 today. Based on the current R1/R3 platform. Dual horn setup this time with arrows.

April release, $599.99

looks great but I have no regrets with my R3. It saved my bacon even tonight when a State Trooper was following me and scanning my ass for several miles.

Yeah so far I’m very happy with my R3 after just a little over 2 weeks of use. Plus the R7 doesn’t have enough to make me upgrade. Yet. Worse case. Get it for the Camaro and keep the R3 in the truck.

Both will have arrows. Both will have BSM filtering, lockouts (manual and auto), etc.

Keep in mind I’m basing all this on the R3 and limited official released info on the R7 since the R7 is not out yet.

R7: better range, OLED screen, no app support, no Bluetooth/WiFi, responsive firmware updates from manufacturer, not able to be detected by radar detecting units runs stealth.

Max: App support via escort live, connectivity via Bluetooth/WiFi for select models, SLOW firmware updates from manufacturer, can be seen by RDD units can’t be stealth.
