I am wondering if these that are arriving damaged if they are brittle? If it is brittle plastic what are the odds of it cracking as soon as you hit anything. I see they are above the rub plastic on the bottom of the bumper but maybe this should have been softer plastic to absorb some energy and scratch rather than break. When you hold the splitter does it flex or bend any? Not downing the looks, just wondering what type of plastic they used.

It is very strong and not flexible. It is something that would break if you curbed it. I have just made it a point to not pull all the way into spots. I also haven't hit a dip or bump where it has touched the ground... yet.

Mounted the splitter today, although rivets are not hard to drillout, I use push poppers that hold the splitter, so now I can take it off for a few trips I don't want it, detailing, and above all, fixing it when it gets dinged/damaged. They worked fine. Also I plastidipped the two spots where the fender color shows behind the splitter, just looks a bit more OEM. Overall a simple install...

How much are ya'll getting yours for? A numeric (dollar) value posted would be nice. Also, what is the contact info for Maureen who everybody keeps saying gives a good deal on them? Does anybody think it's worth it to wait until an aftermarket version comes out? Are they usually cheaper than the OEM?

Stick with OEM whenever possible. Even if it costs extra. That's my motto. Dealerships (except Maureen), always charge MSRP on stuff because they are always "special" order stuff for them so always grab it from some place else (I use cultrag) as it's always 1/2 or 2/3 of MSRP price.

Been there done that! Wearing 5 layers of clothing, not feeling fingers, garage door closed so not enough light to see what you are doing easily so you gotta use spot lights and having an electric heater next to you while still freezing lol.
