There is absolutely no way that anybody in their right mind would ever regret a ZL1. It is not possible. In the realm of possibility and probability, it does not exist. You would have a better chance of finding an Alien Unicorn Predator Dementor Centaur T-Rex than you would finding someone who actually regrets buying their ZL1. If anyone were that touched in the head enough to actually regret a ZL1 then I suggest they go have a CT Scan of the head and then get whatever tumor they have that is causing them to have extremely poor and irrational judgement removed.

For the record, as a GM loyalist and Camaro fanboy...I would trust tap water from a hose in an alley in Mexico before I trust someone who says they regret buying their ZL1.

Well, just a tiny correction, our ex-noboost friend said ZLE, and there has certainly been a level of regret about the DSSV in that camp.

I always distinguish between the ZL1 and ZLE. I intentionally left the ZLE out of my statements due to the fact that like you confirmed, many do regret the ZLE for it's stiffness. Lol!! The ZL1 tho, nobody ever regrets buying one!!

So technically some early year models ZL1s didn't have an option to order red seat belts. It just came with the color of the car. I'm glad they changed that. Red seat belts are blah. Also, there is no such thing as a ZLE. So I agree the ZL1 1LE isn't the highest trim Camaro but the highest optioned Camaro. |

"ZLE" is just shortened version of ZL1-1LE since that is too much to write. Same with SS and SLE. Although some don't use those abbrevs at all. But I would hesitate to even call the ZLE the highest optioned since it initially did not come with the A10 or sunroof as an option. Even now it still does not include a sunroof. So it is technically not the highest optioned, it is just differently optioned. But if any want the distinction then they could certainly say it is the most costly. If it matters, the ZLE has a lower top speed than the ZL1 so the extra handling does come with a bit of a trade-off. And the fact that more people will favor the ride of the ZL1 over the ZLE...when comparing both I feel they are on equal ground. Me being a sunroof kinda guy and wanting the highest top speed, the ZLE is not even a consideration for me. And the A10 was a must have for me as well which made the ZLE a deal breaker. Even now I would not choose a ZLE over a ZL1. I would choose a ZLE WITH a ZL! but not over a ZL1. |

Aside from you just love the look (I get that part), I never saw the point of the ZLE for street use unless you live near a mountain road |

Anecdotally, I read a “review” where the “guy” (Air quotes because I have doubts as to his masculinity) stated they wouldn’t want one because it was too hard to keep a steady speed on the interstate & would rather have an SS because of it. Oh, & because it was slower ‘cause he felt he could beat on it more & not be going as fast. Kid you not. |

In '17 and '18 (I think) red seat belts were determined by the exterior color of the car. Later years like my '21 ZLE, it is a low cost option.

I've never seen SS-1LE shortened to SLE. Unless it was on a GMC vehicle indicating its trim level. |

I cut 1.69's in my stock ZLE at Gateway. I foot brake off the line at about 1100RPM and roll into it fast. Big burnout on Toyo 888R's. Best time is an 11.2 |
