So long......

It has been a great 10 years. In 2009 after taking delivery of my Inferno Orange Metallic V6 5th Gen I was followed home one day by a lady who asked "What kind of car is that!?" At the time I could go a month without seeing another 5th Gen. It was amazing the amount of attention the car got, especially after I painted stripes on it. I moved on to a 1SS in 2016, Hyper Blue Metallic, the paint still looks amazing. Had a blast driving and drag racing it a few times.

But.....the C8 has driven me nuts since the debut on 7/18, so the Camaro has been sold and the Elkhart Lake Blue C8 ordered. Now the long wait begins. I will definitely hang around as I may get another Camaro someday, or have the chance to restore my Dad's 1992 Z28. A thank you to Chevrolet for giving us two fantastic machines to choose from.

Nice upgrade. It will be a LONG wait though. Seems it will be hard to not have any performance car for that long a time? When you get the C8 though it will certainly be like when you had your 5th Gen Camaro- only kicked up a few notches. You will be the envy of a lot- and for a long time- or at least a couple of years until more C8's are around. And you won't lose any value- the demand will be high for these cars for awhile. The value may even go up from what you paid.

I think I would have kept my Camaro another year or so until the C8 production got in full swing mode! Hopefully there won’t be any issues or bugs with the new production model Corvette. Good luck with the wait! BTW, you are so right about the sound of a Rolls Royce Merlin engine!

Congrats on C8 order. I have been considering selling my '16 2 ss to order as well. I just love my camaro so much afraid I may regret . Wishing could have both but not practical for me. Enjoy. Great color choice.
