Another Dash Cam Install

Pretty similar to what has already been posted, but the twist here is that I'm actually adding a USB power connection in the overhead console. My last two dash cams used USB cables, so a 12V connection would not work.

It starts with the USB board from Amazon...

I soldered some short wires onto it and then just wrapped it in electrical tape. I then connected power by tapping the violet/white and black wires.

There is already a notch in the headliner that I ran the USB cable through. I rolled-up and tucked-in the extra cable and plugged into the board.

As noted elsewhere, this connection point does not turn on unless the car is running.
