It's interesting you bring that up. My son-in-law and I were just discussing that a few days ago. We've both noticed the prices on 5th gen cars going up on V6 and V8 cars. He and I look at cars online daily. There's a definite trend, at least here in the Las Vegas area.

That's exactly what we're seeing here in southern Nevada. I'm now wishing I had not passed up on that 14 1LE SS in June. Don't remember the exact price, just remember that it seemed like a real good deal for the mileage.

Seems like it's across the board and not just the Z/28's. But hell even places like carmax "where I got mine", carvona, dealers, private individuals etc....crazy is right

I gave $29k in feb of 2019 for my 2015 2SS/RS 1LE that had 4230 miles on it. Also over $10k in addons..

I've read many publications and spoke to some auctioneers (just met them this weekend) and the belief is that this 2nd life of muscle cars(Camaros, Chargers, Mustangs and Challengers) will be sought after, maybe not as much, but somewhat like the muscle cars of the past. Just think what these cars will mean to the love/hobby of car ownership if electric takes off. If that happens by 2035, the early C5s will be considered classics. Doesn't surprise me that these are going up in price. I was surprised how cheap they were when I bought mine but as I see how we all love our cars, money doesn't seem to be everything. Being said, if you are thinking about getting one, you might want to do it sooner than later.

You did a little better than me. From where I stand, that was a good score.

I really believe that this electric push will drastically increase the value of these cars sooner than later.

Wow. This is interesting indeed. I wonder what is going on?

I'm fine with this except I am interested in adding another 5th gen to the stable in the next year or two. I was hoping to pick up a manual ZL1 or Z28. Oh well.

I bought / financed my '15 In April 2018
asking price 19K and 17,500 miles.
Just a couple days ago i wanted to refinance the loan and
i was told the value was around 20 k.... 2 years 5 months later.
No refinance but nice to know the value is holding.

So looking on KBB (I know, I know) for comparisons to last year when I checked. My car with 157,000 miles is showing nearly $3000 more than last year. This goes for trade in and private sale.

I am very curious as to what other cars this is affecting and what the cause is.
