1LE pads

What pads are the best compromise for mixed street/track use? I drove the ncm road course at the fest and I'm hooked!
I picked up some used 1LE rotors and calipers for my SS and need to get pads before I install them on the car. I'm looking for pads that will perform well on the track but not be too dusty on the street. Any recommendations?

It's going to be hard to find a compromise between performance and dust. The OEM Brembo pads are phenomenal, but they dust like mad. I know a lot of guys will run a street pad (like a Powerstop) and then the OEM Brembo pads at the track. I love GLOC pads, and they're definitely better the OEM pads as far as dust goes. Something like the R8 you can still drive on the street and it doesn't dust very bad.

I have the PowerStop Z26 pads for street. I changed them back to the the OEM pads for NCM the past two years. It's a pretty easy DIY job.

I believe I will stick with the OEM Brembo's. Fronts are 2$06.20, Rears $112.99 with free shipping on Amazon. Before I pull the trigger, does anyone know of a vendor with better pricing?

Since I changed my OE Brembo's for Z26's and saw how easy it was to do and I just assume that you have a jack and stands to do it, Id just swap the pads as needed.

I have my OE pads that I'd sell about 10000K gentle miles...gentle meaning I've never before had to change pads or do a brake job due to wear. PM if youre interested.

Hey VinnAY, What will you take for your OE pads shipped to 30143? Also, can you shoot me a couple of pics showing the remaining thickness when you get the chance? My name is Jim, Cell # 770-893-9408

ive used the oem brembo and powerstop track day pads on track and street and they are both good pads , i also ran the z26 pads on the streets and auto x but would never use them on a road course . both oem pads and powerstop track day pads dust like crazy but that is by design the less a pad dusts the less power it has stopping so its up to you...
