Back in the ZL1 game. Irrationally stoked.

She’s home. 2021 M6 ZLE in crush. Quick recap:

—Owned 2017 ZL1 a10 (Red Hot)
—traded her in in 2019 for a ZR1 (a8, torch red)
—sold the ZR1 last month
—brought this home today.

I am SOOOOOOO happy to have a 6G back in my garage. These cars are amazing. The A8 was so trash in the ZR1 it spoiled the ownership experience for me. Completely uninspiring. Now I have the Camaro I wanted a few years back but couldn’t source. Incredibly stoked. Lots of plans:

1. Michelin PS4S (on hand)
2. AWE touring+PLP (on hand)
3. BTR valve springs (on hand)
4. Rotofab
5. Mamo TB
6. Orange belts
7. 2nd set of wheels (OEM? Apex? Forgestar?)
8. PPF
9. Tint
10. Stainless brake lines and SRF fluid
11. Break all ZLE track records in California

That's a beauty, I came REAL close to getting a Crush Zl1 myself but decided on Red Hot. You will absolutely LOVE the AWE touring exhaust, I think its the most badass sounding exhaust I've ever heard on a car as long as you still have the stock manifolds and front cats. When you add headers and remove the front cats or go with high flow cats, it gets REALLY loud. I'm in the process now of adding a Magnaflow X-flow muffler to tame mine some, I had Kooks 2" headers, green cats, and AWE resonated touring exhaust. If I didn't need headers and high flow cats to get to my power goals, I would have don'e exactly what you're doing to the exhaust, delete the secondary cats and use the AWE resonated touring catback.

Nice ninetres, are you planning on modding the zl1 1le? Do you mind the harsher ride compared to the zl1?

My friend. Please read the post. There is a list of planned mods haha.

I prefer the more track oriented ride. It isn’t a daily for me.

1000% guilty of making frequent poor financial decisions due to my car obsession. Although over a glass of whisky I could make a solid case for any of the moves!

It's nice to know someone who's had 3 cars, ZL1, ZR1, and a ZLE, to me it's the complete bargain for price and performance if it's one thing GM missed was just not putting on secondary port injection.

Quick Jack is really nice if you do a lot of your own work, I have the Quick Jack BL-5000SLX and love it, highly recommended!

I have one of the quick Jack 5000 series (Costco). I’m aware it doesn’t line up great with the 6G lift points, but I’m looking forward to developing an easy solution. I read on here somewhere someone cut out a small portion of the undercarriage plastic/carpet stuff and mounted lift blocks in a better spot. I kinda like the idea of that move.

Beautiful ride! I absolutely love mine! But, you’ve already owned a ZL1 so you know this!
