Caught C8-itis

No Covid 19 here.....it's worse......

In Naples, Florida there are way to many new C8 corvettes running around. That and a LOT of Ferrari's and Porsches, etc....exotics.

Can't afford the Italian etc. exotics....

But I can afford a new C8. One drove by me with the exhaust popping on 41 by Vanderbilt Road.....I think my drool bucket filled up....

I keep telling myself your driving a C6 that turns heads and people constantly comment "nice car".....My Lt1 engine is essentially the same as the engine in the C8. Going to go drive a C8 at a dealer, if I can find one....

I have been wanting to order one too, my local dealer is doing MSRP but over a year wait. I actually spoke to them yesterday. I don't think they will let you test drive one as most are sold cars on the lots.

I get it, I almost went to my dealer who had 3.

I am going to wait while they are vetting out the problems and grab one at year 3 or 4.

I also have the C8 virus. They are still really hard to get around here, and prices are accordingly high. I am going to wait until the mania dies down and also give Chevy a year or two to work out the fine details.

This is interesting and very educational, covers a lot of the order process and tricks some dealers use etc

Go for it! Your SS Camaro is a good looking car and if it was me I would keep it and not buy a C8 Corvette but it’s your call.

The C8 Corvette mania will die in about a year.

GM spent a LOOOONG time developing this platform so the "issues" are few.

AvalonandI, I know what You mean, The Wife and I are also in Naples for the winter, Have seen5-6 C8's in the last week, Saw a Lt, Blue one the other Day. Was going to drive My Camaro Vert down here but with no trunk space it just would not have worked for Us. Ended up driving the Blazer RS down instead. I don't think You will get a test drive, but if you do come pick Me up!!!!!

Same here. I have one more semester of being the bus driver for three kids, then the 16 year old will be driving them to and from school.

So as of this summer I don't need back seats anymore. I'm holding out for a supercharged version of the C8, preferably with a manual tranny.
