AWE AFM delete bracket question

Hey guys!

I’m looking to get a corsa npp cat back exhaust for my 2016 ss with the a8. Has anyone used the AWE brackets to delete the afm valves? Any cel with the brackets installed?

Thanks!

I think these are literally just a bracket to mount the AFM motors to and then bolt out of the way. It’s probably a lot cleaner than zip tying them to a suspension piece or something. AWE does say no CEL guarantee.

I bought and installed these on my car 6 months ago. No CEL and works as advertised.

AFAIK, if the AFM valve doesn’t see resistance you’ll get a code. So just tying them up supposedly won’t work. I bought these because I didn’t want to get codes.

Thanks for the reply! Yea. They make it cleaner but I saw something about the motor needing some resistance to keep the cel off

No Cel code, they work fine. Bolt up the electric motors to them and Zip tie them up under the car. Make sure the zip ties do not interfere with the movement or the swing of the arm that sticks out of the motor, it needs to operate full travel.
