What wax/ sealant products you folks using on Black Camaros?

I've been using this but it seems there's some mild clouding on the surface.
Using too much product?
Too much soap when I wash the detail towels ?
Rinse the surface better?

It performes great on my 4Runner but its a metallic black.

I like most products from Chemical Guys & Adams Polishes. You can also check out Pan the Organizer YouTube channel which is an awesome detailing resource. CarPro and Gyeon are also considered top notch, but I have yet to try products from either brand.

This guy has a good youtube channel for testing paint coatings and sealants.

This particular video is after >2 years so most coatings are well past it. So you can watch earlier episodes to see how they held up at 6 & 12 months, etc.

I do not recommend ceramic coatings on black paint. The water spots will be murder.

PPF if you can afford it. If not, put a good durable hydrophobic coating on the paint. Skip the ceramic coating entirely.

I've been using Collinite products for a while on my boat and just tried out theyre paste wax for my car and it is probably the best I've used. READ THE DIRECTIONS. don't do more than a few feet square at a time and have plenty of cloths ready. You don't want this stuff to cure up on the paint but if it does just reapply a little more on top and it should come right off.

Join a detail page on FB. The people here are great but after the last car show I went to I wouldn't ask a gear head.. lol But really go ask the experts. Collonite is awesome but I think there are better longer lasting products.

How true is this !!!

I did a whole paint correction on my black zl1 and then coated with Adams advanced ceramic coating . Let me tell you something !!! The water heading etc is phenomenal but the WHITE WATER SPOTS ARE driving me crazy !!! It’s absolutely insane how much the water spots come on !! Anyone have a solution to this ??? At my wits end 😭😭😭!!

Invest in a water filtration system, don't wash the car in the sun, use a leafblower (preferably one with a filter) to dry the car so there isn't enough time for water spots to form. With a black car you need to be at the top of your game.

I used the Meguiars hybrid ceramic spray and learned my lesson on water spots the last time I washed it. I thought "oh it's sorta cloudy and only ~65 degrees". Nope, nope, nope. Could not work fast enough.
I also tried a leaf blower (battery powered) and all I accomplished was looking like an idiot to my neighbors. It didn't have enough power.

I would do this combo:

https://www.obsessedgarage.com/colle...41312711114903

and i would use this as a drying aid.

https://www.877askxtreme.com/store/p...yvd58rjwqstiqr

after 9 months, reapply just the collinite. At 1.5-2 years, quick touch up polish(~4 passes) to get the old stuff off and bring back the gloss with rupes yellow pad and sonax perfect finish before starting over. some of the best looking black paint i have ever seen. after a good correction, and good proper washing and drying technique, a light polish really helps every few years with the gloss.
