Yeah nothing’s wrong, I know exactly what you’re talking about and I love it. I’ll throw my car in sports mode and put it in manual mode and make my car do it myself. All you have to do is shift the car around 6k rpm and it’ll make the backfire sound. I do it almost at every stop light to show off 😂

I have a manual, but I'm sure I know the sound being referenced. It sounds like a gun shot when I do no lift shift and I assume the autos do the same thing when shifting under full throttle at the rev limiter. It scared me the first time I did it and I thought something broke. Now I love it haha. There's nothing like hearing that bang and hearing the tires screech going into the next gear.

Well if OP meant the baaam during near redline WOT shifts, it's totally awesome, one of the many reasons to get this car
 NLS on manual Camaros sounds similar, not the same, but equally cool.
