Off set question?

Hello all!

Thanks for taking the time to answer stuff on my other wheel thread. I wanted to know if this set up would work on my 2020 LT1 with any rubbing or need for spacers.

Wheels will be a squared set-up

19x10 +28

wrapped in

The rear will fit fine. But the front will be tight. The rear will have 22mm less inward clearance than your stock wheel. The stock SS1LE wheel is 20x10 et20. So that 19" wheel will be 8mm closer to the strut than the SS1LE wheel

Hmm wonder if I should stick with 20s. I wanted less rotating mass.

Also, I see the stock SS wheel for the front is 8.5x20 ET25, not 20.

I believe your LT1 came with an 8.5x20 et25 square setup. The OEM SS front wheel is 8.5x20 et25 and the rear wheel is 9.5x20 et39. The OEM SS/1LE front wheel is 10x20 et20 and the rear wheel is 11x20 et43.

You can run either a 19" or 20" diameter wheel. You just want to watch the offset. The 19x10 et28 wheel you proposed probably won't clear the front suspension without a spacer as others have mentioned.

Here is a nice offset calculator to help you compare offsets of wheels you're looking at compared to the OEM wheel specs.

If you're looking for a square setup then search the Wheel and Tire forum threads. There are a number of people running square setups.

^^^ this.

Also, my favorite wheel sizing tool is https://www.wheel-size.com/, IMO it has a lot more detail and clarity than the one Mark114 linked.

Keep in mind he doesn't have magride, so I think that gives a little more clearance. But I still think it's either going to be too close for comfort or it will rub without a spacer. A 1/4" spacer should be plenty, though, and probably wouldn't even require longer studs.
