Went to 1/4 mile track today

Ran my car down the 1/4 mile track today bone stock! Had a hard time leaving because it would just bog no matter what I did. The car ran pretty good for leaving so slow. It has 11's in it easily with just a little more seat time. My mph was not that great for some reason at best 116.81 I was not impressed.
I did weight the car and it tipped the scale with a quarter tank of gas at 3855 and with me in it 4120 race weight. I will try to post a video if I can

What's crazy is my friends car Pontiac g8 with heads, cam, headers and tune plus some little things ran the same time and two miles per hour more then me on the track with same 60 ft and on the street from a first gear roll I walk away by about 6 car and more by the time I get into high 3rd. He doesn't spin at all and neither do I. This was in an area off public streets.

For a track car, not bad!

Agree, lower tire pressure and try it...

Not bad at all considering drag racing was the farthest thing from the engineers minds when they designed this car. I haven't had mine to the track yet, but I can tell just from driving it, the car has the power to go 11's. 12.1's isn't anything to sneeze at. Especially for your first time. A little seat time at the track, and you'll definitely see 11's.

12.1 is great, best time I've seen here.

What tires? You said bone stock and I assume Trofeos but you would be the first to not complain about wheel hop. I think getting some other tires would greatly help the 1/4 mile issues of wheel hop everyone is complaining about.

you smoked me...I haven't been close to the 1.9x 60ft time you posted. I must say the track prep at MIR is usually phenomenal and was a perfect place to run. My best e.t.s in nearly everthing I have ever owned has been at at MIR.

I was running different air pressure settings 26, 28, 23 etc. I really never had a problem with wheel hop. My problem was it would hook and bog down no matter how much RPM I ride it out on.

I did races a guy on my way home with an 2015 BMW M3 who really shocked me because if I wasn't ready he would get me. So I then took him to a back road and showed him who is faster but he still hung with me for a little in first and second until I hit third from a roll and then I pulled maybe a car length from him. That car is really fast

"(u2b)xxx(/u2b)" is how to post a video. Put the letters associated with the link between the command I placed at the beginning. Leave out the www.youtube stuff. Use brackets instead of parentheses.
