Borla S-type with secondary cat delete is where I'm at. It is a nice balance of loud when you wanna be and quietish when you need to be.
Having said that, I was mic'd at 103 decibels @ 3000 RPM in "quietish" mode be our wonderful local enforcement team. Sport mode came in at 106 but much deeper. Start up bark is LOUD. Cold mornings are a nuisance for my Neighbors. I live in a townhouse with lots of windows to bedrooms around my stall. I wouldn't say I am hated, but I have to work hard on my friendly people skills daily so people won't complain. (basically kiss ass to all my neighbors) I always buy there kids presents when I am at Costco for summer play and x-mas. The occasional dog treat goes along way for the ones with dogs. I have a dog and it scares the sh*t out of her at 6:30 every morning.

I shift into Touring as I enter my garage and leave the door closed for a few seconds after hitting Start the next morning. My neighbor appreciates it.

+1 on this, I looked at a few vendors and DynoSteve was the lowest i found for Borla ATAK cat-back. Also very responsive and great to work with. Order was shipped the same day.

I bought the stock NPP exhaust. I noticed that it loses some of the rasp as it ages. Have over 40k miles now and sound better than when new.

I have long tube headers flowing into aftermarket high flow cats flowing into stock cat back and it sounds really good.

Quick question since we’re all discussing installing and buying exhaust etc.... I had my S-Type Borla catback exhaust delivered yesterday and I did the full removal and install in the same day yesterday in my garage. The new exhaust sounds incredible. I do notice a slight “ticking” noise after install but am not showing any Engine Lights as if there is a exhaust leak. Should I be concerned?

You shouldn’t get ticking noise past the cats, more a whoosh sound if it’s leaking. |

If this is true, it’s music to my ears (pun intended). I do like the NPP function and the overall sound, but hate the rasp.

Hmm great question, I’ll have to listen in the morning, I believe it’s more towards the front of the car near the cats, I don’t hear any “whooshing” sounds tho so that’s a good sign. I’ll listen tomorrow morning when I leave for work.

Did the swap today. I like the sound much better than my stock system. It is the Borla S type. The guy i swapped with wanted my stock system on his modded Camaro. So we are both happy. He took me for a spin in his car that has around 640 to the wheels. So i am ruined now that i got a taste of that kind of power.
