Do 5" Intakes Really Work...?
People often ask us to do tests of our 5" LSA intakes to see if they really do gain power over another intake or even a 4.5" Intake.
Well instead of being accused of biased test results, we decide to let other shops, other tuners and our customers vouch for their personal results. So... do they work? You be the judge. The filter sits right behind the factory brake duct for increased airflow to the high flow K&N filter and illuminating the need for a airbox in your engine bay. And reducing the amount of hot air sucked up by the intake. (Filter shown installed on a lowered CTS-V, Providing more than enough ground clearance for people worried about sucking up water going through a large puddle) Not only have we seen power increase over 4.5" intakes, but our RPM 5" intake is the only 5" intake on the market that allows you to customize your options from PCV fittings to Meth & IAT bungs. We also provide an intake coupler for use on stock throttle bodies or larger 102 throttle bodies. - Black Wrinkle finish - MAF Flange - High Flow Green Filter - High temp Silicone Hose - 5" Hose Clamps 100% Made in the USA (In house at RPM) (AIT & Meth Bungs are optional add ons) Order Now Still not convinced ... try one for yourself. Umm yea I would say it works. I put this intake on my 2013 ZL1, which currently holds the SBE boost only 5th gen record. It also fits with the largest volume (1.7 gal) under hood tank available for the 5th gen ZL1, which is made my BMR.

Those are nice numbers for sure. I may get one just to see what it does. I have the ADM race CAI and rotofab big gulp now and those have worked well.
I do have an aeroforce air temp sender and would like to add that to the tube. Not sure if a bung is available for that. My LSA is ported to a 90mm snout so not stock 87mm and no intention to go NW 102. Sounds like I may need to evaluate this one like I’ve done other products ;o)... Road Racer here ;o) -Don

Is this the only intake on market to fit the 102 mm TB? im looking for one, since i have a Vmax and CAI set up but ill be getting stuff ported for a 102 TB, what about rain and water, will this be an issue driving in rain, daily driving? Water suction, does it fit the stock MAF sensor , curious about this intake. Also what about the wind shield wiper fluid container.

The bottom of the filter sits over a foot off the ground and the filter is 9 inches tall. So really unless you drive in 2 feet of water it isnt an issue. Yes fits stock maf sensor. Windsheild fluid containter is moved and replaces with a rotofab which we also sell. |
