Not sure how oiled would be better for daily. It likely filters worse than dry. Most oiled do. That's how they get more flow
I am sure it has something to do with the test procedures the very reason why we do this testing the right way to find the hard truth.

As far as I knew the dry filters were not readily available and I got one of the first ???

Simply because Oiled filters will do a better job of trapping dirt.

You will need one of our JMS fuel pump voltage boosters.

No sir, given the dyno testing we felt it in his best interest to stay with the 1 7/8 since they had an overall higher average power which will give him the best ET and MPH on the track.

Variable cams change how the engine will respond to headers the very reason why the LS3/L99 gains 28 RWHP and the LT-1 gains 15 RWHP.

We seen this many years ago when Ford introduced variable cams, the gains from Headers was almost cut in half from the Previous generation V8.

Ted.

I was thinking the same as you. But in the end I trusted Ted to give what he thought the fastest setup was and best for me. He knows more about this than I do.

Sounds like a plan.. For now just thinking about doing the dry Roto-Fab and the SCT with your 93 custom tune... How much tuning was required to run the MSD intake if your don't mind me asking?

Great place to start.

A small amount of changes.

Thank you.

Ted.

Sounds like a KB boost-a-pump type deal?

You never explained why you just regurgitated what he said with no explanation. I was also told by rotofab the oiled produced more flow. Historically oiled is worse filtration as well. Sorry I didn't take your random comment as truth.

I have seen many airflow tests showing oiled filters doing a less effective job of fltering compared to dry. many of them. google it. This oiled filter must be more effective than some of the others.

http://www.nicoclub.com/archives/kn-vs-oem-filter.html

k&n oiled filter. The lowest filtration of any filter tested.

this isn't my first rodeo in automotive...

I am being told the same thing about the oiled filter. Oiled flowing better makes sense to me but Teds test didn't show it. I didn't bring it with me for my dyno testing. I wholeheartedly believe in Teds procedures and I try to do as close to the same as possible but can't, so I went with what made power for him. Maybe next time to the track I will test both filters and let the g/cyl tell the story.
