Visually Inspect TB Open

I tried searching the site for this but no luck. I am trying to confirm my tb is opening 100% visually. I know these are electronically controlled. The procedure I tried was doing a full power on, holding the start button. Then I had someone press the accelerator all the way down. But the throttle only opened maybe 50%. I am concerned my nitrous plate is interfering. Is there a procedure I can do to visually see it open to 100%?

I’m curious if you could connect the maf tube to the TB with a small coupler and just look into the TB. No filter

Use your finger to open the blade?

All you’re doing with the motor off is initiating flood clear

Yes, I can do that and it appears to open all the way without obstruction when I do it with my hand. So I'm sure the nitrous plate is clear. I was just curious if it's normal to not go full throttle when the engine is not running but power is fully on. The plate does move, but only to 43% according to HP Tuners. I have confirmed in my logs when driving at WOT the accelerator is 100% while the throttle is at it's typical 83.9%. I wish HP Tuners would change that so at WOT it would read 100% if it really is. Thanks for the input.

It's not recommended that you manually move the blade in the TB. Apparently that will force some small gears in the actuator to turn in a way they were not meant to move, possibly causing damage. Believe me I was tempted when I had my TB off.

When I ported my tb, I removed the black plastic electronics plate. They are built super burly with large gears and I physically moved it manually 1000s of times. Don't be afraid of breaking anything by doing it. The position sensor in them is even contactless.
