Bad satellite reception

My car has terrible XM Sirius reception compared to my 10 year old Xterra that never drops a signal. Anybody else have similar issues? It’s off mare than it’s on, and only seems to come on during a My Pillow commercial! 😂👍

Mine seems to not find any satellite every 15-20th time I start up the car. Then, if I turn off the car and back on, it works fine....

I have XM in my wife's car and use the same subscription to listen via the Sirius/XM phone app on Android Auto in the Camaro. That way, it uses my wi-fi connection instead of satellite and I can listen to it in the garage, car washes, etc. Very steady, consistent signal. I prefer that over the satellite, which always cuts out in those situations.

I think the satellite XM like in my wife's car is best for long road trips where a wi-fi signal is not available. In the Camaro, I have the Onstar hotspot ($15/month). Worth it because the LTE signal for my phone is weak in many areas near where I live.

Hope this helps...

Naive earthling, can't you see the pillow is your gateway to Planet SiriusXM? Do not resist, fork out for the pillow and thine signal shalt be amplified thru magick (but if not, at least you'll still have a very comfortable pillow )

We have a few areas with bad reception here that every car struggles with, but my 2018 is the best so far, with hardly any signal dropouts. If I go faster, sometimes the radio's buffer is enough to bridge the gap and there is no interruption. (Maybe speed is why reception feels better, ha.)

Believe they launched a new improved satellite last month. Known spectrum interference issue.
