It’s the car guy/gal anthem. Timely now that Queen is trending due to the new movie.

If you bought your car new or had it ordered you’ll get it in the mail from GM.
If you bought it used ???

Hotwheels Raffle Car

Hello Camaro family,

Earlier this year, I purchased a 2018 Hotwheels 2SS, and I love it, and so do my wife and kids!

When I purchased it, I was informed that the car was raffled off by Mattel near the end of 2018. The winner, an elderly lady who entered the raffle attempting to win the box set of Hotwheels for her grand kids, declined delivery of the actual car. I confirmed there was a Mattel raffle giving away a 2018 Hotwheels 2SS.

Does anyone have any idea how I could find out if this car is actually the car raffled by Mattel? I contacted Mattel, and they said a third party handled the raffle, and they had no idea what the VIN was. GM said they could not help me with the question either.

It would be a nice piece of history for the car if I could confirm it was the actual Mattel raffle car.

Thank you for any help.

Shane

I almost picked one up last month new, but decided on a 2019 1LE instead. There where 4 brand new ones last month available, I see now 3 left.

Check them out great deal.

I'm thinking a dealer took delivery at one point and would probably be the only ones who could confirm the 3rd party pickup and raffle.

Welcome to the site. Great car and story either way.

Bought mine new in AUG still have not received my commemorative gift yet. Anyone out there have any suggestions as to who to contact to get this? I talked to the dealership and was told sorry but it has nothing to do with them, it is a really nice commemorative gift and I would like know who to contact? I've been patient but I thought by now I would have gotten it. How long did it take you other guys to receive yours after purchase?

It's probably in some warehouse collecting dust.

Yes, you are correct. The dealer did confirm the car was a raffle car and the winner did not want it. I guess I was hoping for something official that could stay with the car for historical purposes.
