Rock Guard Opinion

I have been trying to decide on rock guards for my 2SS for several months and have now come to the conclusion that I will get the ones from ACS Composit. I don't know if I should get the gloss black or the 1LE black. I don't have a splitter or side skirts and the car is Riverside Blue with silver wheels.

What say you?

I'd get the ones that match the front grille and the rear diffuser. These rock guards will look very good, and should give enough protection with stock wheels/tires (but a bit of extra PPF on the rockers never hurts).

Thanks.

Well, the front grille is gloss black and the rear diffuser is mat black, henceforth why I am undecided.

I prophesize that you'll keep the grille and upgrade the rear diffuser in the future, and gloss black looks more classy, reeking much of less penny pinching by GM, so I'd choose gloss black.

Then if you decide to get side skirts after all this, the decision will be that much easier

i have a hyper blue camaro as well and i went with the zl1 addons because they work well and they are barely noticeable. Don't mind the dirty wheels haha. I was just showing the before and after on the rock guards as well as the oracle ghosted turn signals.

ABS plastic sheet from Amazon cut to fit. $20 max for all four corners.

Thanks for the responses.

I have ordered the ACS Composite rock guards in 1LE black. The rear guards in gloss would have been too much of a mis-match with the rear diffuser. I'll post pics after I install them.

You will be very happy with them. The fit, finish and protection is great. I have a set myself in Gloss Black. It's nice that their place is only an hour from us as well, if the border ever opens back up, I am thinking about taking a ride there and possibly having them install the fender inserts.

Received my ACS Composite rock guards today and installed the rears. The fronts will have to wait as I am not ready to wake the car up from the long winter nap yet.
The 1LE black is a good match to the rear diffuser and I am sure it will be less prone to showing swirls and fine scratches than the gloss black would. I am very pleased with the quality and fit.
