2021 Electrical Problems

I just hit 5800 miles on my 2021 2SS. At 4000 miles, my TCM went out and was replaced my the dealer. After that, my driver's seat moved forward up to the steering wheel while I was driving 3 separate times. Now on my drive home today, my passenger window rolled down about an inch on its own and within the first 3 minutes of my 15 minutes ride, my dash went completely black and reset itself 5 times. The HUD also went off and never came back on until I restarted the car. Is anybody else having issues like this and is there a fix for any of these problems?

My 2021 has been perfect, thus far (knock on wood). I have 1,900 miles on mine thus far.

Given it's under warranty, take it back and let them diagnose and replace what they need. Electrical demons, obviously. Hopefully they can't find the source of the issue for you!

I had the dash on my 2021 2SS reset 5 times one day and twice the next day.
Even managed to get a video of it doing it on my phone.
I disconnected the battery for a day, reconnected it and it hasn’t happened again so far. That’s about a month now.

Thanks for the replies. I did reset my battery and everything seems to be normal for now.

7 months and 1800 miles on my 2021 and flawless so far!

Hope you get your electrical gremlins sorted out. I'd wonder if there's perhaps a wire harness somewhere that's compromised and has an intermittent short. Take it to the dealer and make it their problem. Perhaps lemon law if last resort.

Johnnyb Any chance you got a car wash the day that happened to you? I had my car washed about an hour before I drove it home from work. I know that water gets in the hood vent and always wondered if that might be able to cause a problem.

Just had my 2021 at the dealer because the dash instruments kept rebooting every three minutes or so. They reprogrammed it due to loss of communication to all the separate system with the main unit. Apparently certain items plugged into the ODB port will cause this issue. I have the GM thinkware dash cam plugged into mine with the GM easy connect harness.

Has anyone checked the actual status of their battery? I know the cars are new, but you never know. Low voltage or under performing batteries can cause havoc on the electrical system. Twice now on my 2002 SS I could not figure out what the heck was going on......Car shutting off....lights flashing, random no starts etc etc....Was the battery. I got myself a Red Top, keep it tendered while not driving and have never had a problem since.

The fix is a correct diagnosis and repair of the electrical system. Most likely one or more issues in the various wiring harnesses.

Get it into the dealership and let them fix is right.

If they fail repeatedly to fix it, then bone up on your lemon law.

Could be. I know the last time I washed mine I hit it real good with the hose on the hood and grill area because of all the bugs. The next time I drove it the thermistor (gives outside temp) stayed on the same temp for a couple hours while driving and then acted normal.
