Shiftlight, anyone done one yet?

I'm the kind of tunnel vision guy that needs a bright annoying shift light when making hard pulls or racing. Has anyone on here installed a standalone shift light for their car? I'm looking at what are good options. I've always just got the autometer set ups in the past. It's not what I'm after this time though.

I looked at those, is it very bright though? Does our car have a GMR, or did you have to wire in to the coil wires for #1 cylinder?

Another option is the Aeroforce Interceptor gauge has a built in Annunciator. 2 red LEDs at the top that can be setup as a shiftlight.

My nGauge has that option also, but they aren't bright enough to catch my attention when I'm racing, and I get tunnel vision lol. So I don't see my gauge, my HUD, or my tach lol. I need a bright annoying light!

Anyone find a analog RPM signal we could tap on the CA6? I couldn't.

Here is what I did.

I Used this ODB2 module:

Dakota Digital OBD-II OBDII Speedometer / Tachometer Interface Module STA-1000

And the AutoMeter Tach/shiftlight in the Aeroforce Camaro twin vent pod. You can set the brightness. The Autometer shift light on top works great. But I wish I bought the slightly more expensive model with different levels for each shift. With the MSD power mostly up top its hard to stay in upper band as long as possible.

There are a few shift lights with an ODB2 interface, but I couldn't find one that fits nicely in the pod.

Where are the 4.10s at? Sure could use one.

I know there is this: $$$

My OBDII is full, I was wanting one that wired up directly. I ended up getting the Raptor shift light. I need to get a GMR pickup and have the light stand alone. I spent the weekend putting my driveshaft and short throw shifter in, so I have not had a chance to install this yet.

Mount it inside the air vent it will take away the in your face affect but still be bright enough. Installed a blue led raptor on my 5gen it works great.

My HUD has shift lights.

As the rpm's build starting around 4500 or so, the lights go from yellow, to orange to red.
