Illuminated front bowtie installation instructions

Has anyone purchased and installed this yet? If not I just ordered mine and will do a write up with pictures when I install mine.

Mine was an LPO. So the dealer installed it before delivery. I love it, but if it fails, I would replace it with a standard bowtie.

Installed mine today. No fun taking the front bumper off just to install the bowtie and wiring. Love it though

I cut the hole needed for the illuminated bowtie with a small battery operated dremel.

It's alot easier to just remove the metal plate around the hood release and reach in and do it. Have done 3 so far this way. a whole lot simpler. Looks good on the Blue.

Tried that but could not get my hand down there. For some reason plate would not come all the way off. Plus I wanted to cut the bowtie from the back side and route the wires like the instructions showed. I think so to. Thanks

Gotta bend the hood release lever over a bit to be able to pull it out. Takes a little bit or wiggling to get it off. As long as it's done is all that matters. Looks really good.

Oh ok. Well I guess if I ever need to remove the front bumper again I know how to now. I just don't understand why a lot of these upgrades are LPO parts because it would be so much easier to install them going down the assembly line when ordered!

Here is the connector you plug the Illuminated bowtie connector into.

Which connector did you plug the jumper harness into?

One quick question. If the dealer already installed my LPO black bowties did they already drill that hole and I don't have to remove the entire fascia?

No. If you just got the standard black bowtie they did not drill any holes.
