It is finally on the road again

Well here are some before and after photos of our 2010 SS that is finally inspected and on the road again. It has been a long 2 years and many hours of working, waiting for parts, waiting for paint, money etc., but we are finally able to drive the SS on the road, legaly! As you can see it was hit pretty hard in the right rear quarter. I worked with a friend of mine who has a frame machine and we had to cut the rear trunk section completely out of the car. Once that was out of the way the pulling began and my friend did an excellent job and saved the rear quarter. He has been a body man for many many years and he was able to work out dents in the rear quarter panel and used very little filler. I brought the car home then and took it completely apart and it got a complete paint job. Then all of the upgrades began, as I did not realize the 2010 did not have a nav system, back up camera etc. Did alot of upgrades with the help of Gen 5, which they where nothing but exceptional to work with and everything they sold me worked as was expected. We even upgraded the dash to the 2012 model year with the heads up display per Gen 5 suggestion, which was worth every penny. Still have some very minor issues to work out and trim pieces, but things are just about to the end for the once totaled out SS. It has been alot of fun and a great time working on this car. Let the fun begin and thanks for everyones advice, take care. Todd
