Would you buy a Trans Am Conversion?
I would!
This one is pushing 1000HP and 1047lb/ft. I don’t even need any of that but I’d take the front and rear fascias, lights, wheels, and Firebird hood logo in a heartbeat. http://transamdepot.com |

No I wouldn’t. I don’t have an extra $150,000 or more laying around to spend on a speciality manufactured vehicle!!

Have been to the factory. Considered ordering one, bought more land instead. It is a class operation.

Most likely not. I find the Camaro more attractive than a “trans am” kit

I wish they'd just make components I could gradually mod my car with. I can't afford that but would just like the front and rear bumpers, lights, and spoiler.

Even if it was just the body kit? Not the actual 110k mod.

Even though I’m a Camaro guy, I have always admired Pontiac. They always had cooler interiors, with more knobs and switches. They also had what is perhaps the best engine ever with the 455SD....
I was never really a fan of the late 70’s Camaros/Z28 or Firebirds/Trans Ams though. BUT I can imagine if Pontiac was still alive, that the gen6 firebird/Trans Am, would look similar to this modded out car, and would be priced a notch or two higher than the Camaro/ZL1.... It would likely help sales.... |

I'm no big gearhead and being perfectly true to the past isn't a high priority for me.
Growing up with Smokey and the Bandit is how I relate to Trans Ams. This "Trans Am" was endorsed by the Bandit. Good enough for me lol. |

The thing is you have to be a pontiac guy to want one. Personally, if it was just a body and emblem kit that'd be fine. Last trans am was a gm F-body and chevy and pontiac just put their own aesthetics on em.
