EFR 7163 - Standalone Build
Interesting... I'm hoping to have one done within the next month or two. It's already about 50% done. I guess the LT1/4 modication thing to is no big secret lol

Awesome! This will be huge for this community!! As the factory pumps are worse than the lnf ones on the cobalts and saturn sky etc.

This is good news! At least we will have something happening for this platform by then! I think these motors can make good power, but are limited by so many things.

Agreed! With an upgraded HPFP running E98, with Jason's bypass valve on the stock turbo, I bet I would be approaching forged internal needs, even bone stock, as far as power#'s go.

Hoping the weak link is head bolt stretch by the time I'm done with forged bottom end, upgraged HPFP, and EFR7163

I hear the head will lift at around 425? I'll be looking into some sort of ARP stud kit if possible.

Its more complex and probably more costly than the 1990s, but the progress is marching fast! |

I figured it will be past 500HP crank before stretch... 430+ at the wheels proves that theory
What all is done to the 430+ car so I can start putting together the list! |

All of our bolt-ons, forged internals, slicks & skinnies, and a Z54 turbo. Nothing crazy honestly. I added up all the parts last week and it's just under $6k for the full build.

And yes I am right at $8000 for a full build paying someone to help do the work for me... that include $1500 for the junkyard pull out. |
