Yesterday, and today, "Reduced Engine Power".

I'm thinking, if they haven't isolated what this issue is, I'll just be uninstalling mine.

It's a safety hazard, to go to merge, then have power cut out, I almost got run off the road.

:/

Yep, first time since then, and I had been warming the car up. But, I will acknowledge, I was doing some aggressive driving shortly before this happened (the first of the two recent times...second time was the next morning).

Happened AGAIN when I went out to lunch.

I'm disconnecting it as soon as possible. I just don't have that white bracket with me, to reconnect things the old way, it's at home. Once disconnected, I'll contact Vitesse and mail it back. Either they find something wrong with my particular unit, and then (I hope) send me a new one...or they find no problem, I chalk up the loss, and they can keep the unit.

Definitely something not right here. Most of the issues seem to be coming after a few months of use, not immediately. Will take a lot for me to consider purchasing another one.
Not enough testing, or not enough quality control, or both.

It sounds like they used the cheapest caps and resistors that the factory in China had in stock. They get too hot and fail prematurely. Vitesse needs to spec a higher level of component quality. It might cost a nickel more to get parts that won't fail for a decade.

1900 mile trip from New York down to Myrtle Beach and back for a week vacation. EC3 on the trip down, sp5 and sp7 while there, and back to ec3 for the trip back, with a couple of times to sp7 while playing with others on the road.. I like I can hit the ec button and it goes to the level I had it at, and then if I hit the sp button, it does the same there. No problems with mine yet.
They do mention that any changes to levels should be done while your foot is off the gas....

Seems like a lot of people are having problems with these that has even put them in danger allegedly. What's going on here are these things still being beta tested? I've noticed a lot of people have been selling them used lately, maybe this is why lol. How many months is it gonna take to get an answer out of the company who makes these? I've been following this since I was going to buy one then read about all the malfunctions.

+1. I would like to know as well. And I'll say what I said a while ago, not sure in this thread but "the problems don't happen right away...". I guess I was right? Great product when no cel or rep, they just need to find out what's causing this to happen. Maybe just like someone else said they are using cheap parts and need to pay a little more for better quality. Just saying, not hating/dissing the device.
