Factory wheel options over 1LE brakes

Hi all!

Like what seems to be most of us, im planning on DD’ing my SS1LE and was curious about other Camaro wheel options specifically non-SS wheels. Will they fit over the brakes? Any other clearance issues worth mentioning? Ive found some lt1 options for sale want wanted to put touring tires on them for daily use

I have a set of the 18x8.5 base five-spoke wheels on my 1LE and the clear the brakes just fine. Not by much, but they clear. This is for my "winterish" tires. I'm sure the various 20" wheels that come on the LT1 and SS will clear.

Do you insist on factory wheels? The 1LE wheel design is the absolute best IMO, so I'd just get some aftermarket MRR M017s as a secondary set, gloss black or gunmetal.

Not entirely the same question, but I have a 18 SS 1LE and will be looking to change wheel size for the fronts. I drag the car and and am looking to go to a smaller 17 inch wheel for better performance with my drag pack. I think the tricky part will be getting past the big 1LE brakes up front. I hope to not change calipers but only change wheel tire set up.
Does anyone know of a smaller wheel set up that will work???

I doubt any 17 will actually go over the caliper. You might be able to get one with zero or negative offset that actually sits outside the calipers, but I'm not sure.
