Best place to order a new Camaro

Im in the Chicago area, is there a dealer that is willing to order a 22 or 23 under msrp?

I can get a Ford or Dodge but it seems every Chevy dealer I call wants a small markup over sticker.

I've bought a few Hellcats for well under invoice so it is funny to me that Camaros are commanding a premium. Would like to order either SS 1LE or ZL1.

Unfortunately, right now the supply of Camaros is tight relative to the demand. Hopefully you can find a dealer willing to sell at MSRP, but you might have to wait to get one if you have to order one. Another thing to keep in mind is that there was a significant increase in pricing for the 2023 model year. For example, the MSRP of an SS 1LE increased by $2k for the 2023 model, with no real change in the car.

Thats fine.
My TRX is up over 10k MSRP from when it came in last year!! Manufacturers are trying to grab all the cash they can because they see dealers doing it.
Im fine with a sticker deal but seeing markups of 3-5k just annoy me.

Ford advertising 1k off if you order a car. Mopar stuff has 1-3k off on many cars.

Is Chevy just having a hard time right now? I had a 13 Camaro and wanted to get another but I've been out of the loop with GM stuff.

I don't think Chevy is struggling financially. It's just having a hard time producing enough cars to meet demand. I suspect it mainly has to do with supply chain issues. I purchased my 22 1LE in February for MSRP and Chevy unexpectedly had a $750 rebate on Camaros at the time.

You could try Phillips up in your area. They are the largest in IL. They along with others will sell you a protection pkg for $1500 on top of msrp. If that's something you don't mind of course. I'm waiting for them to get back to me on Monday about allocation on Camaros and what their waiting list is like.

I know your in Chicago, but Estero Bay Chevrolet in Sw Florida is not only selling for MSRP, they are accepting GM Employee Pricing if you qualify.. Order through them and have it drop shipped at your dealer for the couple hundred they charge. I ordered a 2022 ZL1 in Feb and it arrived in 7 weeks.

Thanks for the help.

I have a GM supplier discount through work. It used to knock a couple grand off msrp but one dealer flat refused it.

So damn annoying trying to buy a car now. Not a need but I'd like to get one before its all shut off for good.

I am also in the Chicagoland/NWI region and I plan on ordering a ZL1 in January or February. I may end up ordering from a dealer in the Detroit area but I was looking for one close to home. I refuse to pay over MSRP for a car that’s being ordered. I was waiting to hear the news on the upcoming redesign of the 2024 Mustang but I will more than likely just get a ZL1. Especially because I can use the GM employee discount.

Good luck with that. Under MSRP? Let us know when you find a dealer selling under MSRP. While you are at it, any luck on finding $1.00 a gallon gas?
