Where are the sealed motor (stock cam) guys on LT4 fueling at ,

Hey guys

Finally made the plunge and ordered LT4 hpfp, LT4 injectors and DSX flex fuel sensor.

Goal is 600ish WHP on E85 blend with factory reliability like now

(Recently moved and have access to E85 now!)

Since I bought car 5 years ago I've tried to keep everything as Uncomplicated as possible.

Will I NEED an LT4 low side pump ?

Logistics of trying to get the parts installed and then tuned before driving the car is probably going to be complicated
(Mike from Vengeance Racing is my tuner and Vengeance has stopped installing bolt on parts.....)

I'm going to email him tonight to see what he thinks.

Thank you guys

I haven't done anything to the car in a few years now and things are going to get exciting again I hope!

YES. Stock LT1 Low side is the first drop out in the equation… so it needs to be solid first and foremost. LT4 in-tank with JMS is entry level for a boosted SS, IMO. After that, comes LT4 HPFP and then LT4 injectors.

Although if i had to do it over, id rather do the in tank. Tapping the tank was not fun.

And the DSX is really not a great idea either, if we’re being honest. The tank is super thin and not enough meat there for a proper thread seal. And a tank penetration below the fuel line is usually a no-no. It works, I get it, but there are better and safer options IMO.

I made 615whp on 93 with P1X at 9.5 psi with lt4 HPFP, injectors and DSX. Although I agree with Joshinator there are better options. I was able to run e30 blend with same setup

It just really hurts the pocket when you have to step up to the fore set up. It is also one of those pain on the ass upgrades where you really want to buy once, cry once. The install is a tedious pain in the ass for a DIY'er.

Yeah, depends on a few things. If you’re planning on ending up in the 750 WHP or less range then just do the LT4 in tank w/JMS. Especially if you’re going to run the car on road courses, since the Fore system ditches the factory fuel pump bucket.

If you’re going for big drag/roll race power, the Fore is the way to go. Agree that the install is a big pain, even for a talented shop with fabrication skills. The shop I use does a lot of restomod work and is used to doing custom work. I think I paid them at least a full week of labor to install my Fore system along with a few other odds & ends. Ouch lol! But, once it’s done, you’ve got low side to do virtually anything.

Ok very good information

I appreciate it guys

Low side is fairly cheap

I gotta figure out logistics of getting install and tuning done all at once

What was the custom work required for Fore? I was looking at that system. It doesnt direct replace the stock stuff?

I was under the impression that you needed the lt4 low side pump OR the jms boost a pump and that would get you to the limit of the Lt1 engine

Just looking for a fun consistent street car.
E85 blend seems like the key to beating the heatsoak

On old setup I made 600whp @ 7.5psi on E80 fuel with LT4 injectors, LPE HPFP, LT4 low side and JMS. Cat deletes, regular rotofab, and ported 95mm tb.

We are running a JMS on my brothers ZL1. It made 660/650 on a Mustang dyno that reads 5-6% lower then a DJ. It has +30 injectors, LPE HPFP, Headers, 14psi, E60 fuel. Turning the rail pressure down for the larger injectors and pump took strain off the low side.

So imo the LT4 low side pump with a JMS can probably go mid 7xx whp with the right setup.

I would suggest factoring any potential future goals before spending money on fueling. The LT4 high side will allow you to run E50-60 where you are now and it's pretty much maxed. If you did +30's and LPE HPFP, you could run full E or turn up the boost and run E60.

This is based around a .82 Lambda AFR target.

Once you get past the lt4 fuel stuff the price goes up up up!
