I don't believe the problem is the filesystem for you now... I believe it's more of an issue with how the system initializes and recognizes SD Cards / USB Drives. "Hit or miss" is about the best I've ever gotten with any of these systems.

By the way, I have those same compartment inserts, but with the white accent line that glows in the dark.

On the subject of USB flash drives, I was using a tiny 32mb Sandisk drive in my '16 1LT. Occasionally the drive was not recognized at startup in the '16, and I would have to unplug it and plug it back in to get it to work. After reading this thread I figured I'd try a different USB drive for my '21 3LT. Only a couple days in, but so far this one has been working for me:

https:/www.amazon.com/dp/B077VXV323/

Both my old and new Sandisk drives were FAT32 formatted, by the way.

The nice surprise that came out of setting up a new flash drive is that I discovered my '21 does not have the 5,000 mp3 file limit that the '16 1LT did. I'll have to update my playlists!

Bad link.

Warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship, not half-a$$ programming standards that weren't met.

FWIW, I wouldn't use that flash drive if my life depended on it... I have too many problems with those SanDisk drives failing for no reason.

Any. The problem isn't the flash drives, it's the car.

I guess I'll just wait for another Microsoft Windows95 update to fix this.

Agreed even in my 2020 I have this problem at times. It was the same in my 2016 and 2018.

My wish would be to make the usb ports more accessible. What is wrong with one on the dash or in the glove compartment? You cannot mess with these ports while driving to reset the usb. The Camaro is a bit of an ergonomic mess. But it is so much fun to drive it makes you forget and appreciate why you bought this car.

My Samsung bar gets warm, but never hot. All metal case on that one.
