Yes its still really fast and held off another 50 hp Camaro till the curve. It would still be a really low 11 second car and might even bump into the 10s as it sits. We should have run it with the hood down, it was 78 degress in the shop and with the hood open with the rotofab it could have affected the runs somewhat, don't know how much. The other ss was running a stock air box with k&n filter so its closed to the inside elements.

Hood open Hood closed we have seen 10-15hp difference with some intakes.

The numbers are fantastic for such a simple kit.

We may yank the Intercooler bricks from an LT4 and run it just like Magnuson is doing,2-3 degrees timing is generally 45-50 rwhp either way so money wise its not such a bad loss.

Good Job

Andy

I think those numbers are strong and this is a really great setup/concept (Kudos to Magnuson) with a ton of value and upgradeability. Also being able to chose different cooling paths (chemical vs mechanical charge cooling or both) should you desire is nice. Ugh I can't wait for spring already lol.

You will run awesome with this setup Congrats !

Wow, the intercooler was worth quite a bit even at this low boost level. Your car gained 22% more hp from the Magnuson supercharger without an intercooler, and the other car with an intercooled Magnuson supercharger gained 33% more hp. Thanks for sharing the test results.

I missed the background on your install. How/where did you get a non intercooled setup? Can't find one listed on any vendors site.

Thank you for being open and honest about your results. The numbers may be slightly lower than anticipated, but your timeslip this spring will be your dyno....the true measure of performance.

What level of boost can you run on e85 and not run out of pump or injector window ?? If the answer is like 4, would you pulley up and run the corn ?? Less boost = less heat and the benefit of ethanol....just trying to think outside the box

There is no doubt its a good deal. Cam, headers, heads, etc is still about the same price and reliability of the supercharger is much better. Nothing inside the engine has been altered. Yes the intercooler is awesome, but if you want to get started on your mods this is it. If you just running on the street its great, it will take a bit more cool down at the track. However my car is pretty great at the track and its decent on the dyno. For my mods 11.71@118.66 with Cai and drag pack is pretty stout. It might just be a pretty bad ass with just the Maggie. I really don't know, but running up against a 16ss that just made 50 more hp on the dyno and he can't get by you at 126 mph might be pretty stout. Could be in the 10's, who knows, another 1/8 mile and he might have passed me. We won't know cause that was the only time we have run.

Very interesting indeed. Install for whole kit including Intercooler is 10-12hrs. I wonder how long they estimate this install time takes.

I think Matt did the other Camaro in about 9 hours.Which is about 3 more hours then my non intercooler.

Nice that the guys that want to do a FI build can do it in stages similar to the NA builds. Enjoy the extra 90hp for awhile, when you get bored with the new power you can add the intercooler and pick up the extra 50hp.

In the works already. I did make a mistake by leaving the hood open with the rotofab and the inside temp of the shop being in the upper 70's. The intercooled Camaro had the closed stock airbox with K&N filter. I do believe I messed up, but that's in the past. Next time I'll do it right. Rotofab has the seal for the hood and I didn't use it as I should have. I might have seen a little more hp with the closed hood. Don't know for sure, but.

Did you have to tune after install?
