NON Intercooled Dyno Day for My SC SS

Today is finally here to see how much HP my non intercooled Maggie will make. My baseline dyno from a couple months ago was 395/391 NA. According to Magnacharger it should make 100-110 additional HP in this form. Along with mine will be an M6 SS with intercooler that made 407/410 on the same dyno about a month ago. Then a 16 GMC Denali SC that made 359 NA on the same day as the M6 Camaro. I will be interesting to see the difference between the the two. Our temps today will be close to what the two had a month ago. My dyno temps were about 40 degrees warmer then today so we can just throw that out the door. I think mine will make somewhere in the 500 to 510 hp, this afternoon we shall see. I'll post up later today with results.

I'm very curious to see what the non-intercooled version lays down on your car, I bet it puts down a bit more than expected just judging by the great Maggie performance seen so far.

Will you be using the Meth system ?

I'm skeptical since its only 5.5 lbs, it feels pretty strong on the street but its also been pretty cold here so the air is really good for sure. I'll be happy over 500 whatever it is. Then I'll figure my next move for more power. I still may end up doing the intercooler, the other Camaro may help me make that decision depending of what it puts down above mine. I'm guessing 40 hp at least.

Leaving in about an hour for the man cave dyno. Its a really cool shop at my buddies house. Has a lift, 70" screen, commercial grill for cooking, in floor dynojet, two other big screens for viewing the dyno numbers. He has a procharged 16ss with P1, 70 nova with an F1 w/fuel injection. Its a cool place to dyno and have fun.

Well it was close to what I thought but a little shy of 500. Although he had some problems with the dyno and we didn't get to run the denali and only one pull for the intercooled Camaro and then the barrel started getting to hot, it appeared to be a sensor so I don't know if that skewed my numbers or not. So we will be going back in a few weeks to do some more pulls. My best pull was 484/464 in 4th gear, I had one pull of 478/484 in 5th gear. The intercooled Camaro put down one pull of 543/544 which is just about where it should be. So, not sure what to think. Mine pulls good but might need a little more timing and that's the big difference we saw in the logs. Its still a good deal for the money to gain 90 hp and 80 lbs of torque for just over 5k installed. I might end up doing the intercooler because it gets so hot in Missouri in the Summer. My IAT were in the 130's and 140's most of the pulls which is not that high considering not intercooler. The intercooler Camaro was in the upper 90's on his pull. So the intercooler really keeps the IAT's down which is what Water Injection does also. However, on our way home I was able to run with the intercooled Camaro from a 70 mph roll, I jumped out on him about a car and to about 120 or so he got back to my door and we shut them down because of a curve coming up. Just a little fun and no harm done. I'm sure he would have gotten around me with another 50 hp, glad the curve came up and saved me. I don't think the rotofab helped me on the dyno, but probably did on the hwy, the big filter and intake opening probably really loved that cold air we were in.

My timing was about 14 degrees and the other Camaro was 18 degrees. Magnuson is pulling timing because of safety. We both made about 6.5 lbs of boost which is more then I thought it would be. I just don't know that much about the water injection and don't really have anyone in the area that can tune it so the intercooler with Magnuson tune might be my best route. I'd like to run the e85 but don't want to change the fuel pump. Toohighpsi has been a big help just wish we were closer in proximity to make things easier. Its pretty simple to send tunes via email so I guess its not a big deal. Just want reliable power for all seasons. Sure feels like it makes more power then showed up on the dyno.
