WOT, Torque Management pulling timing? Auto Trans

Just curious to hear some opinion's…

Under WOT my 2019 Camaro SS auto seems to pull timing, especially if the tires lose traction. This is with the traction control and Stabilitrak turned off btw.

Am I correct in assuming it's the torque management? Also, you can hear the exhaust pop.

Will a tune be able to get rid of the above mentioned situation?

Thanks in advance!

Sounds like a misfire. Check plugs and wires. Are you hitting the limiter?

No, not hitting the rev limiter.

Turning off traction control should keep any limits on power off.

I always run premium fuel. The wires all look intact. I'm running cutouts that bypass the NPP muffler with a Cold Air Inductions CAI. The exhaust pops like crazy. No CEL.

Where are the cutouts located? Does it happen with them closed?

Cutouts are located before the NPP muffler. That's a good question. They're manual so I'll have to crawl under the car and cap them up. Kind of feel like this may have something to do with it....

CAI could be throwing it off if you're not tuned. If you still have the stock intake I'd try swapping that back on to see if it fixes it. I had a 2016 SS with a straight-piped catback 3" exhaust and never had that issue, so I'd be surprised if it was the cutouts.

Very possible. It's the Cold Air Inductions CAI. This one is supposed to require no tune.
