Chr1spy’s Miracle Whip
A new friend I made on the Facebook pages worked with me to accomplish something just short of a miracle this week. On Tuesday 2/22, he posted about how he was planning on trading his sweet 2016 2SS in on an even more awesome ZLE. After I saw the thread the next morning, I figured I’d reach out and try to buy the 2SS off of him instead. On Saturday 2/27, I took delivery of my first Camaro (his 2SS). I appreciate the work he put in on the clerical side of things to make this happen.. we both definitely channeled our inner call center workers to get this sorted.. but he gets the most kudos for the immense effort he put into prepping this car for me. Thanks so much again, John. I’m very excited to finally be part of the Camaro family. I am located in Central NJ and will definitely be at meets and such this season. Don’t be shy if you’re also local!
^Pretty much copied this word for word from the FB page lol. I will be documenting my journey with the car in this thread. |

Congrats Chr1spy, this is one sweet ride. We should have 60° next week, so I'm sure you'll be able to enjoy the growl of the LT1

Thanks a bunch! I land on Saturday night, just in time to get ready for the big thaw. Can't wait to really get out there and stretch her legs. I only got to drive her 2 miles, if that, and it was absolutely pouring. No fun!

I was finally able to get out and stretch her legs today, and all I can say is wow... I am in love with this car! It has been very cold here, so I wasn't able to push the car as hard as I'd liked to on the stock tires, but I have my eye on a set of winter wheels/tires FS locally that I'd like to grab ASAP.
The red S550 GT belongs to my friend Chris. We have the same name & birthday, but one of us has better taste in cars Looking forward to the warmer weather that's supposedly ahead of us so I can meet more owners at meets! Here's what I hope to accomplish this week: -35% tint all around, still debating if I want to go 70% on the windshield just yet or not -Install jack pads and wheel locks, infotainment screen protector, dash cam -Dealer software update for Android Auto/Apple CarPlay -Obligatory weekly wash of this black car (at MINIMUM)

-I can use CarPlay on the current software in the car, so I've been using that over AA (I have both an Android and iPhone) -Routine washing has been going well, especially as I continually upgrade my wash/detail arsenal, but I accidentally stripped the ceramic coat off of my wheels while using Chemical Guys Diablo stuff so just a heads up to others out there with ceramic coating on their wheels... Since then, I have done the following: -Picked up a set of winter wheels and tires for a STEAL (18x8" Platinum Flux & 245/50-R18 Bridgestone Blizzak WS-80) -Ordered a Gen5DIY radar detector hardwire kit to compliment the Uniden R3 that just came in -LED license plate lights -Phastek LED reverse light kit (gf got this for my bday, so I ended up returning the Gen5DIY I'd already ordered) -Taken a few trips to Mexico in my journey to obtain that highly sought-after driver mod, and otherwise just enjoyed the hell out of this car!! Next on the list are the following: -Replace the warped rotor(s?) up front with OEM blanks, and might as well do the pads while I'm in there.. going with Powerstop Z26 to see how I like them over the stocks in terms of both braking power and dust. -Add TPMS to and ceramic coat both sets of wheels -Diagnose the annoying exhaust rattle I've developed beneath the shifter area -Paint correction, as P.O. ceramic coated over a good amount of swirl marks, and re-ceramic coat And lastly, here are some pics from over the past couple of months!
