Got tuned, but no more pops

So I got pray tuned back in the summer and love it but currently lose the low rpm dfco and pops. I see you can move top 3 rows from stock tune and put into new tune and i get them back? but my stock tune looks almost just like my current tune but i have no pops? i am positive about 10 across the top rows from 1200 rpm+ i have a 2018 ss, can i just move the 2019 ss rows over and it be fine?

Your car seems to be the twin sister of mine

I have a Jannetty tune, and as you can see above, he is no fan of pops and crackles... well neither am I, so all I can say is the strategy you mention worked for at least this member. Guess this might be the post you alluded to.

Thank you! Did you do this in yours at all and make it pop again? I’m just curious if moving over the top 3 rows or so of a 19 ss will be perfectly fine into the 2018 top table on my tune and not mess anything up? Since it’s all mostly positive and the stock tune was also and the 2019 has mostly negative across the top

Nope, I left it alone as Ted set it up in the tune. Hardly any pops and crackles, but that's the way I like it—little to no supercharger whine, no decel pops, just stronger, raw V8 engine growl.

Does anyone have sound clips after doing this? I swear I saw a YouTube video about 6 months back of a dude in Germany who did exactly this on his pre-refresh and it sounded cool. I know it is supposed to sound just like 19s but am still curious.

Talked to a few dealers about possibly reflashing to 2019 file to get the pops and keep warranty but they said it is a no go unsurprisingly.

Trying to find any warrant friendly way to do this short of paying 5k in sales tax to have the same car but several years newer

I might have to make a youtube video explaining exactly how to do this with HP tuners.

Agreed. With all the bmws running around pop and banging like a shotgun turned me off. It really sounds like crap outside the car. I’ve reduced mine mine to sound like the stock 19+ which is a lot of soft burble, nothing loud, no popping. The loud shotgun pops sounds like crap

Agreed - I'm looking for 2019 or more subtle. @ Ted disagree with your sentiment without the vaccum breathing sound on these exhausts that the 5th gen had I think the oem 2019 burbles sound quite nice and am looking for a way to implement

I saw your youtube video but it doesn't sound like the 19s. It sounds like you might have changed the table up and down the rev range. The 19s seem to have 2-3 pops off throttle and nothing more which avoids sounding like the bmw shitboxes. Yours seems to keep going? Or is it the 2019 spark table exactly?

It is the 2019 table exactly. There is additional table that u can set above a certain mph it will cut fuel. So u can copy the 2019 and it will sound very close or exact. I increased the mph/rpm so it does it under 3000 rpm. Over 3k it won't pop

Which 19? At first I was using the 19 auto table and it was a bit much. I just found the 19 m6 table was different and more subtle. I’m going to stick with it
