2LT lights on a 1LT?
I'm curious if I were to purchase the 2LT headlights, if they would require any extra wires or ballast to be able to use them on my 1LT?

It's the RS package that adds those lights and it's not just a swap out. To do the actual RS package lights if I remember correctly it pretty expensive. I do believe there are aftermarket options. I'm sure some guys who have done it will chime in here.

Yea, I found some on eBay, it would cost me about $800-$900 for both, but if its more than just a simple swap, I won't bother, I just love the look over the standard headlight.

Hey chuck, I had a 1LT with the non-rs headlights and it’s definitely worth it to upgrade them. You can get the headlights off ebay, but most of them are probably on there because they have broken tabs or cracks. As far as I know, ebay is the cheapest option, but you will have to find a set of resistors to use with the headlights. I got my headlights from Gen5DIY here because they also sell the resistors with the headlights so you have everything you need. I’d recommend gen5 and I think the headlights are still on sale.
As far as getting them installed, I had them installed at a local shop and the install cost 100$. From what I've seen it's really not that hard to do it yourself if you have the tools and a helping hand for removing the grille. I had the halos from diode dynamics put on my headlights before I got them installed, so I used the installer diode dynamics recommended that was near me. |

I've pulled out my stock lights already it wasn't that hard just a little tedious due to the intake behind the left light.

I removed my bumper to remove my lights. It's just one connection and they pop right out. Or plug back in

@Zophix sounds awesome, thanks for the links, I found some lights, I'll just need the resistors, hopefully it will all work well and upgrade the appearance just a little more!

For that, you have to remove the front fascia completely, not a big deal but you have to.

+1!!! But it's really not that hard. It's only held on by bolts and I've opened mines in 30 mins or less first try. You can also just have someone do it for you. It's really not that hard. Dealer was charging $3700. $3000 for the lights and $700 for labor lol. I didn't even spend no where close to that lol Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

hahah 3700 bucks. The RS pkg is cheaper than that.
I'd have been concerned that maybe you showed up with crooked glasses, unmatched shoes and socks and a big piss stain on your pants for someone to consider you that retarded to pay more than the entire pkg for just a part of it. If not I might have gotten pretty insulted. |

I wasn't considering it...... I was just looking at all my options. I already knew GM dealers would be expensive. But had no idea they would be that outrageous with their prices Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Get the kit from GEN5DIY and spend 2 hours on it and be done with it.
