Just wondering if anyone knew of a tune that I can do myself which has been verified to work. Thanks in advance.

P.S. just looking for basic performance tuning.

Don't have to send the pcm to hp tuners. The newest release version supports 17s. The previous beta version did as well.

Thanks. I was going by the HP website that says the 17's are supported with an asterisk saying **only with their "PCM Modification Service**
I'll shoot them an email now to see if that info is out of date and go from there. If there's any others you know of please let me know, thanks again.

I'll post an update to what they say regarding this PCM crap to let everyone know. If all goes well, eventually an update with observed performance gains from the tune.

***EDIT*** I re-read the website i was wrong, the PCM Mod is not for Chevy products. Thanks for your info and ill post update on tune soon!

It still is a little of a chore to unlock and tune a 17, hence the higher credit cost. Not sure if the instructions from the beta still apply on how to do it. I have them if you need them.

To be fair. Whoever maintains that page on their site has no idea how to use asterisks or maybe disclaimers in general.

Ted, i know this thread is a few months old, but your tune on my previous 2015 SS camaro was spot on! I loved the power! Then i traded for a 15 Mustang GT, did a Brenspeed tune, and Headers, T.B., made decent power..... As of today, i traded the Stang for a 2016 SS Camaro, 2SS, Standard. I read that the LT-1 from your posts is already packed with GM power? I will be ordering a SCT again from you, but does the new version of Cold Air Inductions and your tune make decent oomph? Bruce B.

Hello Bruce good to hear from you, and congrats on the new ride.

Tuning makes more difference in how the car drives vs just a dyno number.

Yes you will feel a difference in responsiveness, no skip shift, cooler running, no torque management, adjusted rev and speed limiters etc.

Ted.

Saving my money for your Tune and Headers! 1 7/8 Primaries ! That would be Step 1 for these new beauties, imo. Step 2? MSD Intake and Pete Incaudos Throttlebody, JRE Tuned update! Step 3!!!! Trade for a Ninja Motorcycle!
