Actual build time after getting your TPW?

Howdy everyone; got my TPW of 2/21/22 for my ZL1. I’m at 3400 Status if that makes a difference.

Rapid Blue, 6MT, Sunroof & Black Lugs.

What’s the times looking like to build it once it starts? I honestly can’t wait anymore after waiting 4 months just for an allocation! Share your experience with me!

Congrats on your car getting so close. Typically TPW is pretty close to accurate, but understand that date is the Monday of the week when your car SHOULD be built. It is a "Target" Production Week. Usually that is pretty close, but lately there have been more supply chain disturbances which can really impact a just-in-time (JIT) process like GM uses.

In my case, my car was built (hit 3800 status) about two weeks late. See my signature below for actual dates.

ETA: since you are at 3400, your TPW will not change. If there are any delays that same TPW will be reported and your vehicle will remain in sequence and be finished in order.

My order went in 3/3/20. TPW was 3/23/20. I was at 3400 when COVID shut the factory down. I took delivery 7/14/20

You nevah know....

Mine went in with a TPW of 1/31/22 and the car was reported built on 2/8/22. Still sitting in the factory parking lot waiting for a truck to pick her up.

Funny, I cancelled my original order today, still at 1100 as of today, 3 months after I placed it on 11/16/2021... My second order is bought and waiting for me at the dealership in Michigan. Working on the transport home....

Thanks for clearing that part up a bit! I seriously am so excited, it feels like a lifetime since I ordered it haha. Hopefully the shipping part from Michigan to PA doesn’t take forever. I mean we are only roughly 600 miles away.

My allocation took 4 months to get picked up. It was a horrible, horrible process. I would keep bugging your dealership though, mine wouldn’t accept any Camaro order’s until mine got picked up. The allocation part is like playing the lottery. Best of luck man, you’ll get it soon enough. And when you do get the good news, it’ll be WELL worth the wait. These camaro’s offer so much more than Hellcat’s too! Which I also looked at but who wants a 6 speaker system, skinny 275’s, and 717 HP which is not even usable. Oh, and no manual transmission..

I’m in the same boat. My 2SS 1LE is TPW 2/21 also. The weather is still crummy in Chicago so it doesn’t really matter, but I still have a hard time being patient. At least if there are a few 40+ deg days I can get a few break in miles on her and get it to the PPF guy before spring really kicks in.

TPW "compliance" seems to be improving a bit lately, and as stated above, it's only a target and a full week, not just the indicated day.

Hope you guys all get your Camaros soon.
