Um..Shelby doesnt make a Camaro.

Shelby can *modify* a Camaro, but Shelby doesnt make a Camaro ala GT500/GT350.

I will get pics of it next time he brings it to work. It is a really nice car but the camaro just looks better. as for all the comments yes he is and ass and tried to belittle poeple all time but when i wouldnt bite i think that pissed him off even more. As for the shelby camaro, i know that they tune them but there is the thread that shows that ugly Shelby Camaro at the Shelby convention. that is really what i was talking about. But thanks for all the comment thought you all would like this story.

Sounds like you're dealing with an ignorant toolbox there....

Like I've said a thousand times, my best "car buddy" Is a GT500 owner. He loves the Camaro. He loves all american muscle. He's just a ford guy, that's his flavor. He never EVER knocks my car. We both acknowledge that his is faster, it's also much more expensive. With GM Ford and Dodge building such nice/competitive vehicles the only real winner is the consumer. Competition breeds a finer product. Your co-worker needs a reality check.

I think the "Shelby Camaro" is that one SIM SS that the owner put the "SHELBY" lettering across the trunk lid....the pic is around here somewhere.

Let me know when you've beaten a stock GT500 in your heavily modified Camaro and then you and I can hit ours up and I'll make you wish you had bought a GT500.

Considering we're located about 5-10 miles from each other, it should be hard to arrange.

I had an 09 gt500 for 1 1/2 years and honestly stock Shelby and stock SS are damn close. Now a Shelby with an intake, exhaust, and a smaller pulley on the supercharger is a different story. The 2010 and 2011s are even faster. I'm very happy with my SS

CS has signed just about anything and everything. So what. He put some very good cars on the road. This was one of them.

No I am not joking. The GLHS was hell on wheels with 170 HP compared 86 Vette at a 230. The official GLHS numbers went like this: quarter-mile in 14.7 seconds, 0-60 in 6.5 sec, and .88g on the skidpad.

Curb Weights

Vette 3,200
GGLHS 2,300

As for the Mustang Camaro wars...

perfectly stated and I couldn't agree more. I love the camaro, mustang and challenger...if I could afford to have all 3 I would.
