There is like 250 day supply of corvettes out there right now. Hardly anyone is buying due to the impending C8 release. I am sure there will some deals on these c7's. I would loved to have had one, but the $20k plus price difference in the end just wasnt justifiable.

The Z06 looks nice, but I think it's a step backwards. The ZL1 has better tech, cooling, etc. And if you do get a Z06 wait till after the 7/18/ 2019 show. If it's good, the vette sales will go down even more ! To me the C8 has to be good if not great, the C6 base, Z06, and ZR1 had the look and success people wanted, Heck I think about a used ZR1 now. but the ZL1/1LE is so special I just cant pass it up unless I find a mint Z28 for 30K. But I have a one time shot and the ZLE is it.

Wait for the C8. Even the base model should be amazing.

ZL1 and Z06 (or Grand Sport) are excellent cars.
I will say though, if you've never owned a Corvette -- sometimes there is an itch that must be scratched and only a Corvette can scratch it. Just saying. I had 2017 Grand Sport A8, a 2017 Z06 w/ Z07 & M7 and now a 2018 ZL1 1LE. I have the ZLE to have 4 seats for my 3 y/o daughter but I believe the best all around would be a N/A Grand Sport Z07 w/ M7. If you must own an auto, the A8 isn't as bad as they say. If you like flipping the paddles, the A8 is a bit slower than the A10. But if you prefer to let the car do the shifting, the A8 is incredibly fast too. Good luck, can't go wrong either way |

My local dealer has multiple Z06s for way under MSRP.

If you plan to track it, based on reliable reports the overheating issue is not resolved. I also know someone with a 2019 ZR1 that overheated at the track.
ZL1 does not overheat. |

If you have a family at least you can take them out in the Camaro.. I LOVE is he Z06 it’s actually a dream car for me. The Camaro is every bit the car the z06 is though and I don’t see any reason to spend the extra cash on the z06.

Even if you don't want a C8, wait until it comes out and snag an awesome deal on a C7. I'm sure dealerships/Chevy will offer some smoking deals to move inventory after the new model comes out.

Literally zero reason IMO to get a Z06 over a ZL1 unless you just want to own a Corvette. Driven every variant.. and bought none of them.

+1 really no reason to switch over with the C8’s coming out soon. If you want to switch it would be better to pick up a 16-17 after the initial depreciation hit. I bet there are plenty with little to no miles on them. A lot of the vette guys don’t drive their cars.
