exhaust purchase

Morning Gents,
need some suggestions as to what route to take or things to keep an eye out when purchasing an exhaust for my 2018 2ss Camaro. I want it to put out a louder sound of "Freedom" aka more aggressive rumble sound. Any suggestions?

I have the Borla Atak and it sounds great. Certainly louder and deeper than stock.

Dapends on what you like. If you want freedom straight pipe it.

Mbrp is nice.
Stainless works is nice
Can't go wrong with Corsa

I would listen to some systems in person and see what you like. Videos online don't really give you a true to life sound and most people on the forums will ***** you to whatever system they have installed.

I agree.... I've been listening to them on Youtube videos and i'm sure it's nothing like it would sound in person. I will definitely look in those brands you guy's have suggested.

Straight piping might actually be the cheapest if you take it to a good shop. But I would highly suggest staying away from that. Its more annoying and too much drone. If had the SS I would be getting the Borla Atak. Love that sound, plenty loud and deep.

Personally I just ordered the American Thunder system for my car... kinda. I ordered the same mufflers, some more expensive black tips, and having a shop install it. Total still comes out to less than $400. Thats why I chose this over Borla which was 2x the cost.

Do not do Stainless Works.

I had major jsuues with fitment and their support on the product is non existent.. Check out my thread

Makes too wonder what would happen if you needed a warranty replacement down the road.

I have the American Thunder NPP exhaust sounds decent, although I do plan on getting the Scavenger X pipe for it . The wife has the Borla ATAK on her 17 GT definitely sounds louder than my axleback system

I just put a corsa extreme + catback on my SS. Install wasn’t too terrible and the sound is amazing. It’s fairly quiet and tame if your easy on the throttle and as soon as you get into it, it wakes up and it’s loud as hell.

I just bought a 2017 2SS. After signing the dotted line and driving it home for the first time, I was SUPER annoyed by the drone. SO MUCH DRONE. This is my first Camaro so I assumed it was just normal. I also assumed that I would be able to adjust it with the NPP option once I figured it all out in the following couple days. I parked it and grabbed a flashlight to look under the car and see if my flaps we always open. To my surprise, there where no flaps. In fact, there were no mufflers. Then to top it all off, my check engine light popped up. I took it to the closest dealership to get it the light checked and he informed me its all Cat related. I HAVE NO CATS EITHER!! F*&K me!!!

My fault for not doing better diligence, but this sucks. I set off alarms in my parking lot at 4am. (this was why I wanted the NPP for adjustability) So if this is your goal, straight pipe it. Just be warned DRONE, SO MUCH DRONE and backfire when its cold. LOUD!!
