Now, I used to sell Chevy's. But currently I am in sales at Porsche. But I'm apart of the Autonation group, and worked with an Autonation Chevy store. Thats how I got that to work.

Curious as to why you didn't qualify for the rebates. I get GMS (full GM employee price) and still qualified (and received) for all regional rebates, conquest and lease loyalty.

No idea. But its not like the dealership would want to not get me rebates. It doesn't cost them anything since GM pays it.

One of the forms you signed gives any rebates to the dealer. So if they didn’t credit you that’s extra money for them.

That's not how it works.... Nor did I sign any paper saying that anyhow. I signed a paper that shows the sale price of the vehicle, which it would also show rebates below if I had gotten any. Since I didn't the sale price is solely based on what the dealership discounted the vehicle.

What did you get off of MSRP on your new 2017 or 2018 Camaro ?

Yes, there is such a document because I’ve seen it and signed it at many GM dealerships.
How do you think a customer applies a rebate towards the cost of the car?

Maybe you’re the only person that gets a rebate check mailed to their house months later. Most people apply the rebate towards the down payment!! That requires a FORM.

Maybe you sell used cars or cars with no rebate......

Are you just going to ignore the fact that it's illegal for a dealership to keep rebates? It's either the customer qualifies for the rebates and the dealership fronts it, and is reimbursed by the manufacture, or the customer doesn't qualify and no one get's it.

I've sold Chevy, and sold Kia. Both rely heavily on rebates. I do currently work at a Porsche, which doesn't offer any rebates. HOWEVER, I do read everything that I sign. I signed no such form. And again, I have my sales contract/purchase agreement that shows the Cash Sales Price (sale price not including rebates, taxes, licensing, etc). And then below that is the Sales Tax, $150 doc fee, and $700 Licensing fee.

I agree if you qualify for a rebate you should get it. However if it’s not in the contract I don’t see how you expect it. Car sales as a whole has ethics issues. Look at the documents I will attach from my latest car buy experience! $1900 worth of BS dealer options & 25k insurance/ add on warranty.
