Picking up my 2018 1ss 1LE tomorrow
So as title reads I am picking up my 1LE tomorrow.
This will be my first Camaro. I have a few questions if anyone could help that would be great. I’m out the door at 41k is this a good price? (I feel like it is but would like to hear what you guys/gals got your 1LE at?) Summit White with PDR. I am coming from a 2016 Z06 will I be disappointed in the power and ride? Anything I should look at inspect before I take delivery? Thanks in advance |

Before delivery have service confirm torque on front end links and inspect paint from all angles and light positions. Even if that means leaving it at dealership at night under the lights

Good price. You should like the ride, and you better be disappointed by the power. You lost 200 hp and gained at least 300 lbs(the same as losing 30 hp give or take), that better feel slower. I came from a LS3 C6 with long tubes and it would eat the 1LE's lunch in a drag race. The 1LE makes the C6 seem like a cheap rental car on any kind of curves, I didn't think it was possible.

Make sure the car is prepped properly.
Dealer tried to deliver a car to me, still had the shipping blocks in the front springs, the spoiler end caps were completely missing, the black bowties were in a box in the trunk, and there was a dent by the fuel door. Oh yeah, 78 miles! Look the car over real good, there's another one on a lot somewhere else.

I just hope I’m not too disappointed 😔. Needed the backseat (even though it’s very small wife bought it) 👶🏼 🍼 |

The shipping blocks would have set me off. I looked the car over very briefly today. Told the salesman not intersted in even touching it until we talk numbers. So tomorrow I’m willing to spend all day if need be at the dealership. Test drive look over inspect etc. then we will sign the papers. (Put deposit and filled everything out expect financing papers) Time was limited today. |

I can’t compare to a C7 as I haven’t had one but you won’t be disappointed Ryan B.

Great price, plus you will appreciate the increase in leg and head room if you're a taller guy. I believe there is a list of baby seats that fit in these cars here on the forum. Extra plus, Recaro makes baby seats that will keep the interior theme cohesive.

I had a C6 and probably would have went with another Vette this time around, but the 1LE really impressed me. The back seats are a big bonus with my two kids, even with my Jeep Wrangler DD. I would be looking at a ZL1 too if I was coming from a Z06, but the 1LE is pretty solid.

I am very impressed so far with the 1LE. Obviously missing 200 horsepower but it is still a nice feel. The dealer had a Zl1 1LE I was drooling over. Bought the wife a 17 jeep and I have a 17 GMC Sierra. I couldn’t stretch my bank account too far. Overall happy with the purchase and can’t wait to up my HP Last edited by Lansdell31; 05-05-2018 at 07:45 PM. |
